the Talbot was a little tired ( although it was erected in the middle fifteenth century ), quite quirky, sloping floors, in need of a refurb. Manager Craig was a great host, bar staff Darren & Bren were also top guys. Good selection of beers on tap. Room adequate, bathroom good. Hotel position is a great spot for exploring the area.

Lovely old pub in a great little town.

Really great stay here. It's a lovely old hotel/pub full of character with uneven floors and small cosy rooms. Compact bathroom was spotlessly clean. Full English breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and served with a smile. We would stay again.

September 2022

We enjoyed our stay. The building has lots of history which the owner was very knowledgeable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the breakfast excellent using locally sourced products. We definitely recommend this hotel
