This was an okay quick overnight stop. The evening staff was friendly with a great recommendation for a restaurant. It has potential to be a nice budget hotel.
For an quick overnight stop of this quality, it was expensive. The shower had dark mildew. The bedding was gross. I found old bloodstains, burn holes, yellow stains and worn edges/holes on the comforter. Both the fitted sheet and the top sheet had burn holes. We stripped all the top bedding amd just slept on the fitted sheet. A corner popped off during the night and the matress cover was awful too. It was frayed...not just a little, but just threads for a large part of the top of the bed. It was also stained and had burn holes. It's really a shame, because with a little more care and nice bedding we would have been very pleased. The matress and pillows were very comfy!
I took pictures and brought them to the front desk in the morning. She said that they have been slammed and had to fall back on backup bedding, but that it was all clean. That was it. I can understand a backup that was a little worn around the edges, but not stained and burned. It should have all been burned a long time ago, not saved for emergencies. Had it been washed? I'm sure it had, but the fact that it was deemed at all acceptable for use at any time is concerning. That's on a good day. With Covid as a factor, I don't at all feel confident that the room was clean enough.
I have stayed in hostels in the Mongolia for $10 a night that were cleaner.
