The hotel is in a decent location. The rooms are tiny and the hallways feel creepy and dark. There are tiny elevators which seem to full all the time. The room service is non existent. But, if you are on a limited budget, it is not a bad place. The AC works well. On a budget, I would stay here again . Location is perfect and close to Shinkansen and JR Station

Nice big rooms. This is the first hotel I encountered that charges for pool and gym 1000 yen each. They are not even open in morning. Surrounding area also not that great.

It was in walking distance to the Kyoto station, the mall and a strip mall of restaurants. The hotel is classy, clean, comfortable and high end. You will need to take a taxi to get dropped off at sight seeing attractions.

Hotel was easily identifiable while taking 快速 from Osaka to Kyoto, and took around 5-10min walk (while lugging suitcases) from JR station to hotel. Room was spacious and clean! They also provide shuttle bus service to & fro hotel to Kyoto station from 9am onwards, which was really convenient. Staff were polite and friendly. Would def stay again if I were to visit Kyoto next time!

This hotel is to be avoided. I found dirty sheets when I arrived with other people’s hair in my bed, in the bathroom and on the bed stand. I don’t have short black hair or curly red hair. After I requested that housekeeping clean my room, they did a terrible job leading me to find more hair. The hotel is overrun with buses Chinese tourists who smoke in the hall and in front of your room despite the property being a non smoking establishment. Despite getting breakfast included, the hotel refused to allow this service to be extended to my daughter. When I brought up my feeeback, they apologized but did nothing to remediate the issue. The staff at the desk do not speak English which doesn’t help the situation. It led to a situation where the receptionist forgot to give me back my passport. She watched me frantically look for it when she had left it in the copy machine. The only effective people are the concierge staff. They are superb and professional. They were the only redeeming quality during the stay. This is not a Western hotel. It is inflexible.

We stayed here during our visit to Kyoto. The interior design was cozy and relaxing, and the rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They also offer a daily shuttle bus to Kyoto Station, which is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, but this is very handy when you travel with luggage. I highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel.
