I requested the room 401 . Initially it was not available for my visit but the team eventually was able to let me stay in that room. Room design is amazing and have every thing we need. It has some small wear and tear that I wished the hotel was able to maintain better. Hotel location is very convenient. It is right next to the palace. Also close to subway station and Nishiki market. We had daily breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it is the best breakfast I have ever had. Very tasty and great presentation. The room was a wonderful size, beautifully decorated, with a sliding door separating the bed from the couch area. The staff was incredibly helpful and thoughtful- we felt like they personalized our stay with origami in the bedroom and a note on our breakfast platters the final day. The area was amazing! Lots of dark mildew on the tiles and grout mostly in the bathroom but also kind of near the sink, likely because the vent in the bathroom wasn’t working. We notified the staff after the first night and they said they’d look into it but not sure if anything was done after we left, it likely just needs a full bathroom deep clean scrub. I ended up just buying bathroom slippers to wear in the shower.
