I was a little nervous when I saw the outside of the motel but, when we went into the office the manager was so nice! Rooms have been recently renovated. Comfy bed, clean floor, nice bathrooms. We had motorcycle trouble in the morning and the manager loaned us his battery jumper. We ended up needing new battery and he offered us his car to run to the auto store. He went above and beyond to help us. We would definitely stay here again!

It’s a 2 star hotel so expectations were set. This hotel had the BEST WATER PRESSURE I might have ever experienced in a hotel. Bathroom was updated nicely, and a great shower.

Basic and reasonable stay to get some sleep. The beds were really comfy! My key didn't really work but once the person on duty got me in I was good. Nice to be able to drive right up to door. Old school has its perks!

Amazing motel!! Will absolutely stay again. Clean room, did smell like cigarettes - not enough to permeate hair, blankets, etc. - still worth it. Water pressure and AC were PHENOMENAL! Seriously, water pressure was awesome. This was a saving grace after being on the road for 48hrs. Very nice community and safe.

We loved our stay at Sparta Inn! We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who seemed genuinely happy to see us. He asked questions, gave us bottles of cold water (unseasonably hot weather, it was much appriciated!) He told us about what was going on at the park nearby. The room was updated and clean. It was all you could ask for in a motel. There were two really nice parks a short walking distance that were very nice and clean, great for picinicing, walking or biking. One of them had the Ben Bikin Sculpture.

Nice owner and nice job maintaining this old motel. They were doing the roof when we stayed. The first night, it was not over our rooms, but they stopped working at 8 PM anyway. The second night, they were working over our rooms, so woke us up at 7 AM. This is all understandable; it's maintaining the property during the off-season; has to be done SOMETIME, right? My one real complaint is that they seem to use some kind of Indian fragrance in the rooms. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. The fragrance was on the pillows and bed cover. I had to put them both aside and then it was fine. I admit I'm sensitive to it, but the owner should realize that it will not be to everyone's liking and should consider withholding it, unless the guests are Indian. ;-) We will visit this motel again next year.
