  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Perfect location: close to the main drag in the village and close to the outlets going the other way. The cleanliness was a little lacking, as there was some hair and toothpaste on the bathroom sink and money left on the nightstand. The property is under new ownership and has great potential. Excited to see the changes that are to come.

This property is being renovated and is under construction. The photos do not represent what it actually looks like and has at this time. The pools are open and there is a fire pit. HOWEVER, there is NO restaurant or Food, there was NO cleaning service during the stay and we had to get and return our own towel. We also did our own trash and had to ask for the bags. The King suite that we booked and expected was NOT renovated as pictured. We did enjoy the horseback riding and fire pit. Location is also great. Management is very nice and responsive, but we still did not get any of the service that we expected based on the review and price.

Not what I saw on their website

After all the hype about lake George, we got to our destination, it looked very run down! They told us they had just taken over the business the front desk person was the owner he was very nice! Once we got checked in went to our room and surprise the place looked like they just made the bed! Very dusty humid the ac was loud. The place had a musky smell. We stayed for the night the bed was very itchy we figured by the morning it would get better but no! Got up for breakfast which they told us they had a chef they would cook breakfast that we would have to pay which was cool, went there and the place was empty they had some bagels some fruit coffee the toaster didn’t work 😡. The best and only good part was the horses! The ppl who ram the horses were very nice ppl. Got back to our room after the horseback riding my wife got an allergic reaction to the dust! We decided to pack our stuff and proceeded to check out! We planned to stay two nights we ended up there for just one night. And got charged for two!

The property is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. However, this property was just acquired a few months ago and it is in terrible condition. The room smelled musty, there were screws missing from outlet covers, tiles are coming up in the bathroom. The towels are all random sizes and thickness. When the fan is used in the bathroom, it pulled even more yucky musty air into the whole place. There was no coffee maker and no microwave in the room. But there was a new fridge. The outdoor pool was AMAZING and beautifully warm. However, the indoor pool was not heated and smelled terrible. The property is beautiful but they really need to do more updates in the rooms before renting them. The tennis court needs to be ripped out and redone. There is also no map of the property. There was no coffee available on Saturday morning but there was coffee available on Sunday morning. But no lids fit the coffee cup. They really need to close until they get rooms suitable for guests or they should at least be honest with guests telling them BEFORE they book that the place is under construction and that not all amenities are available.

We had a wonderful relaxing time! I cant say enough positive about the owner and his staff. Everyone was so gracious and communication wonderful! The property is beautiful and I look forward to seeing all the changes so many are working so hard for. The horseback riding was amazing!
