MaryEllen, the proprietor, was lovely to talk to and very accommodating. The rooms are on the smaller side but have been tastefully updated. We opted for a king size bed (a bit difficult to find at some of the smaller motels) and enjoyed a second floor room with a nice view of the lake. The motel is centrally located to several attractions. The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The only issue was that you have to wait a few minutes for a hot water to start running when shower or wash your face. They have two types of cleaning services, which you choose (cleaner enters the room or leaves clean towels at your door, you'll just leave your towels and trash bags outside the room). As far as motels go, it is pretty decent. The staff is pretty friendly. The motel is right on the road and if you aren't feeling like driving to the village, you can catch the trolley (it is about 5 minutes ride). There were a few nails sticking up a little on the back porch. Just be carful pulling in as the driveway is on a hill and you might scrape the front end of your car.
