"The view of the lake from the property was beautiful. The house was well appointed and provided with many amenities. Parking is tight even for a small car but that is no fault if the owner. As stated in the listing there is no direct access to the lake but a short walk gets you there. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors were very friendly."

"Loved the property even though it looked very different to the original pictures look quite different to the ones shown when we booked the trip. Loved the SPA and the property was very clean and tidy and the main bed was great. Only negative was that we are used to cooking with Gas so the slowness of the electric oven and cook top was a little frustrating at first. Would definitely stay there again"

"We had a lovely family holiday at Lake Tarawera over Easter. The days were warm but the mornings and evenings a bit chilly, so the fire was very welcome to have. The house was very well appointed and there were plenty of activities on site like air hockey, table tennis and foosball. As well as being close to the lake for walks around the edge and not too far from the mountain bike park. Would definitely recommend"

"We enjoyed our stay in this property once the check in issues were sorted out. Book-a-bach dropped the ball with check-in which took over 2hrs and was not complete until the next morning. Having said that, all the issues we encountered were not the fault of the house, so as long as Book-a-Bach sorts these, then I would highly recommend this home. It is a good size, even with just 2 bedrooms, we had 4 adults and 4 kids (sleeping in the lounge on the couches) and it didn't feel too small, AMAZING...

"We had a great time at this property. Plenty of space for the extended family and lovely lake access. Very safe area for kayaking for the children, and close to amenities. The house and its furniture is slightly older and a bit worn, which isn't a bad thing when you have several busy kids around! The kitchen could have been slightly better serviced (a lot of older equipment like rusty pots and plastic-handled knives and forks that kept breaking), but these things are easy to see past due to the...
