"We enjoy four of the surrounding lakes, Lake Hope, Fox Lake, Burr Oak lake, and Rose Lake. Rose Lake was the most serene, most beautiful, and most fishes caught even in the rain. We definitely will fish there again."

"Fishing was pretty good for bass and crappie, place has everything you need or want. Hot tub and your own private trails were fantastic. The peddle boat was good for fishing and cruising around. We did not see a single person while staying there and only heard the birds chirp and the owls hoot."

Many path lights were broken/smashed/knocked down. Also wish the wagons to haul supplies to our cabin were all terrain. "Overall the stay was nice. Great covered porch to sit on and listen to the birds. The cabin could use a good spring deep cleaning. The kitchen had essentials for cooking. The hottub was welcome after a day of hiking at the state park. Do know that you will be about 1/2 hour from the state park."
