Pros: The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and they had a big jaccuzi type bath was a plus.
Cons: The temperature in the room was very hot and there was no way to change it on the thermostat. Update the hotel policies on the Expedia page
We are family of 3 that planned a skiing trip, what we had was a disappointment. The problem started with the booking, we booked a room fit for 4 people as we were 2 adults and our 17 year old daughter, however when we paid, they charged us an extra 100$ for an "extra guest". They later explained that their policy is to charge any child 13+ as an extra guest, however there is no mention of this policy on their Expedia page. After a long conversation between Expedia, the Hotel and us, Expedia canceled that booking and re-booked it for two adults only, they assured us that the Hotel was totally ok with this (knowing that our daughter was coming too). Upon paying for our stay the hotel tried to charge us the extra 100$ fee again, saying that the booking was for two people and we came with an extra person. Only after a long and frustrating conversation in which my husband had to actually start audio recording what was said they agreed to remove this fee. Unfortunately this wasn't the only problem, as I said we came for a skiing trip and booked this hotel because they had a nice spa on site, however after a long day of skiing, much to our surprise the spa was closed. There was no note nor any information as to why it was closed and no one at the reception to explain what was going on. We called the management and they said the spa was closed due to bad weather conditions. We wanted at least some compensation for this huge inconvenience but they refused to take any responsibility.

nice location, reduced service in low season

Posted Jan 16, 2017 on Hotels
Low season, so no breakfast offered, restaurant only open if reservations in advance and bar closes 9pm. Nice, clean rooms, and charming décor. Very friendly owners staff, but make sure you know some French, or at least try. I was there for 3 days ice driving nearby but unfortunately it was cancelled due to too much snow. Owners and staff were friendly but if they are advertising as the only 4 star in town they should really offer breakfast at least!

Beautiful Getaway

Posted Jan 3, 2017 on Hotels
Beautiful drive into city through mountains. Very quiet area across from lake. We stayed 4 nights and did some snow activities including snow tubing and skiing. Everything was within a 20 mins drive from hotel. It snowed the whole time but the roads were cleared and taken care of no matter what time of day we were on the road. The hotel itself is old but very well kept. The indoor pool was great for the kids and the outdoor spas were perfect for the adults. Beautiful views of the grounds while in the outdoor spas. Hotel staff was very friendly and spoke very good English and French.

New Year'a Getaway

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Close proximity to snowshoeing, which was great for us. Loved the spa, hot tub facilities. Nice sauna. Very attentive staff. Good choice of restaurants in town. Location was near a number of ski hills. Overall, a pleasant stay and not noisy over New Year's Eve!

Pleasant getaway

Location: Access to a great bike trail.
Good location with an excellent view of the lake. The two-person hot tub was a nice for recovering from a chilly ride on the nearby Le Pet't Train du Nord bike trail. However, we didn't know we had a shower until we found it behind a hidden door with no handle right before checking out. The meal (fondue) was great. You might find a discount if you go straight to the hotel's website. We couldn't get that price because we booked via this website.

Comfortable, quiet, very nice view.

Pros: The bathtub in the room and the bed
Cons: A bigger TV would be nice.
Location: Cute town to hang out in. Lots of hiking around. Val-David very close-by if you're a rock climber.
Hotel in a very quiet area of St-Agathe. Building seems a bit low class at first but the rooms (at least ours) are very comfortable. We took the king sized bed with the bubble-jet tub. Bed was very comfortable.
