This place was almost perfect, but not quite, for easily fixable details. Positives: brilliant location, friendly staff, clean, safe.
Now the negatives. Silly things. A very small room - fine. A kettle, but nowhere to plug it in except by unplugging the heater and putting it on the floor. Another high plug for the phone, but no shelf, so the phone has to go on the windowsill. Vertical blinds that don't obscure light... woken by the sun at 6am. Worst of all, a single mattress against the wall, which is very soggy on the room-side, such that it's hard not to roll out of bed.... ended up spinning it round so at least I rolled up against the wall.
Put up 2 shelves, Change the mattress. Change the blinds to blackout roll blinds. Then, it'd be perfect. I'll come back again, but the things that would make it 10/10 would cost 2 nights' income and half an hour's work.
