“Our room was about what I would expect for a mid-range guest house in Zambia. The beds were fairly comfortable and the room was clean. The adjoining bathroom was small, but it worked. we didn't actually eat the breakfast as we were out and about before it was served, but the cafe packed us a small breakfast the night before to take with us which was great. we did eat pizza one night and it was awesome! “We had the pleasure of staying at Kamunjila lodge for two separate nights during our time in Zambia and we absolutely loved our time here. The lodge felt like a home away from home and the friendly staff (Stanley and Conti in particular) really went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. “We booked the comfort chalet room but was given a double standard room instead. They have double booked by accident. I still kept the 5-star rating because 1.) The price for both were the same anyway 2.) Even established hotels make the same mistakes with double-booking. 3.) The staff, especially Priscilla and Imelda took exceptionally good care of us! They are obviously a lodge on soft opening period, most of the area is still under construction but the rooms were spotless clean. The breakfast……

“Wonderful stay at an authentic African lodge with beautiful views from their restaurant deck. We stayed in the family chalet which was on the outer rim of the campus. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. We were able to borrow an electrical conversion box from the reception. Baboons were wandering during the morning and afternoon. “We arrived later in evening. Property was poorly lit. The paths to our room hardly had any lighting. During the night the power kept going out. The next morning,we went to get breakfast before we left for the day. The information in the room says 6:30 am. They wouldn't let me sit in the room. Breakfast wasn't being put out when we left at 7:15 am. Friday, we were gone most of the morning and our room had no clean towels and wasn't cleaned. We had to go and ask. “Awesome spot for a great price! Really good scrambled eggs in the morning. Just got to book a Yango to get there, or rent a car, but I'd recommend downloading Yango (like Zambia's Uber) before you go. And have cash to pay the drivers; the credit card feature on Yango is weird.”
