“My sons and I stayed here last year for Thanksgiving and they wanted to return with my sister and niece this year to celebrate Christmas. We had a fun week. There was so much to do and see, we didn't need to leave the property for entertainment. Visiting and feeding the giraffes, rhino and zebras was the highlight of the trip. ”

“This is our second time staying at the cottage and we love it! We love the privacy and rural area where the deer come to visit daily -a nice distance away from Fredericksburg. The cottage is well equipped, clean and baby friendly as we had a one year old and the playpen came in handy. The spaces were comfortable for our family of 6 plus a tiny one and we loved having all king beds in the bedrooms. The bathroom with the clawfoot tub was wonderful and the showers (heads) were appreciated by……

“Paint on floors, some outlets did not work, oven could not be used as it was missing necessary grate. The water pressure in one of the showers was very weak. The place was clean and new but just didn’t deliver expectations. For the beautiful kitchen it was disappointing not to be able to cook food other than microwave. ”

“We loved our stay at Das Grun Haus! The home was very clean and cozy. The beds were super comfortable! We loved the location...very close to town, but also out in the country allowing us to enjoy the stars at night. Fabulous kitchen, too. And, we loved the hot tub! The hosts were very kind and easy to contact when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!”
