Very well stocked and all amenities work: A/C, heat, fridge, bathroom, sinks, cabinets, TV, WiFi, etc. Cell signal is good here. In the center of the famous Lone Pine town. Very-well priced. Very comfortable place/lodging. Awesome getaway location! ##### Gustavo Stayed 2 nights in Sep 2025 ### 6/10 Okay #### Charles Dec 24, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, communication There was a hot plate and toaster oven but I did not cook The old house is located 1/2 block off of Hiway 395 so it is somewhat noisy with all nite truck traffic. If you need total quiet then could be a challenge. The flag pole across the street rang like a bell when it was windy. It met my needs fine because I was out hiking most of every day. Central location. lone Pine has lousey, expensive food. ##### Charles Stayed 3 nights in Dec 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### LYNDA Oct 24, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities Disliked: Communication The property was good for a short stay. It was easy to check in and it was very clean. There is a small fridge available and a counter top electric hot plate. There is also a bullet-sized blender. The bed was comfortable and the blankets were cozy. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heat in the bedroom, but the mini split in the living room was easy to operate and worked well. One thing that could be better is communication, because I did send a question to the host, but never received a response. All in all, this is a good choice to stay in Lone Pine and I would stay here again. ##### LYNDA Stayed 3 nights in Oct 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Ann C. Mar 28, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Central Home Away from Home The kitchen is simple but well-equipped, great for cooking family meals away from home. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants, and an easy drive to beautiful back country. ##### Ann C. Stayed 3 nights in Mar 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Kristin S. Air conditioning and bedroom was nice and the 12 cooler was good. T v was a little confusing, but everything was great ##### dolores o. Stayed 2 nights in Jul 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### Ric O. Dec 29, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great amenities, spic n’ span clean Great location, kitchen fully stocked with every utensil, kitchen gadget, and accessory imaginable; refrigerator smaller than advertised. Bathroom has every amenity one may need; hair dryer, nice towels, great shower, shower gel, etc. Great old bedroom; living room furniture rather sparse, could use a table lamp and cozy reading chair. Other than that issue, very enjoyable stay. ##### Ric O. Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Luis Jun 14, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication A solid stay for folks looking to visit Mt. Whitney. You are walking distance from all the restaurants and market so you never have to hop in the car unless you are venturing up to Mt. Whitney. The bathroom is spacious and having a washer/dryer is a major plus so you can pack light. The AC is solid, which is great for those triple digit days in Lone Pine. The owner is easily reachable and friendly. All in all it was a great trip. ##### Luis Stayed 2 nights in Jun 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### lulu h. It is a very quiet neighborhood. ##### Charity ### 8/10 Good #### Betty K. Sep 2, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy Very comfortable, small, old but well kept. Pretty much what we expected for Lone Pine. Im usually a camper so i don't need much. Nice to have a french press coffee maker and coffee bean grinder. I wish i knew ahead of time though. I brought coffee filters and fine roast coffee. My only real complaint would be, how hot it was when we got there. Both ac units were off for probably a whole day before we arrived and it was 100 outside with the sun beating down on the main windows. Please turn on AC for next people. The units worked great though. Towels and linens were all nice too. Nice place to come back to after a wonderful day of hiking. Enjoyed our stay. ##### Betty K. I wont use VRBO or Expedia to book again because their service was so poor. ##### Michelle Stayed 6 nights in Nov 2024 ## Explore a world of travel with Expedia - [Lodging](?equalTargetTab=tab-0) - [Flights](?equalTargetTab=tab-1) - [Packages](?equalTargetTab=tab-2) - [Cars](?equalTargetTab=tab-3) - [Vacation Rentals](?equalTargetTab=tab-4) - [Things to Do](?equalTargetTab=tab-5) - [East Wind, unique house with majestic views](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-East-Wind.h57122215.Hotel-Information) - [\*\*\*Million Dollar Views and Indoor Pool!](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-Million-Dollar-Views-And-Indoor-Pool.h69653045.Hotel-Information) - [Summit Sanctuary: 360° Views](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-Summit-Sanctuary-360-Views.h114165044.Hotel-Information) - [Walk to everything in town](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-Walk-To-Everything-In-Town.h30425027.Hotel-Information) - [\>>Magical property on 5 acres in the Alabama Hills](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-MAGICAL-Property-On-5-Acres-In-The-Alabama-Hills.h89322288.Hotel-Information) - [\*\*\*Mt Whitney View Home!](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-Mt-Whitney-View-Home.h69700623.Hotel-Information) - ["Tiny" HOME w/ expansive views of the Sierras NOW W/ WIFI!](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-NEW-TINY-HOME-W-Expansive-Views-Of-The-Sierras.h89322776.Hotel-Information) - [Comfy Bungalow](https://www.expedia.com/Lone-Pine-Hotels-Comfy-Bungalow.h90153354.Hotel-Information) - [Olancha RV Park & Motel](https://www.expedia.com/Olancha-Hotels-Olancha-RV-Park-Motel.h8121602.Hotel-Information) - [Eastern Sierras Olancha Lakeside RV Campsite #6](https://www.expedia.com/Olancha-Hotels-Eastern-Sierras-Olancha-Lakeside-RV-Campsite-6.h90029658.Hotel-Information) - [Rv Lakeside Camping #9 near Death Valley](https://www.expedia.com/Olancha-Hotels-RV-Lakeside-Camping-9-Near-Death-Valley.h90127420.Hotel-Information) - [Death Valley Passageway Tent Site#1 Lake Olancha](https://www.expedia.com/Olancha-Hotels-Death-Valley-Passageway-Tent-Site1-Lake-Olancha.h90128258.Hotel-Information) - [Lakeside Tent Camping Site #2 near Death Valley](https://www.expedia.com/Olancha-Hotels-Lakeside-Tent-Camping-Site-2-Near-Death-Valley.h90128424.Hotel-Information) - [Family Retreat - Voted Best Vacation Rental 2016](https://www.expedia.com/Three-Rivers-Hotels-Family-Retreat-Voted-Best-Vacation-Rental-2016.h45623117.Hotel-Information) - [Roads End River Home - 5 bedrooms](https://www.expedia.com/Three-Rivers-Hotels-Roads-End-River-Home-5-Bedrooms.h89673112.Hotel-Information) - [Paradise Ranch Inn Stellar House Hot-Tub,Sauna .](https://www.expedia.com/Three-Rivers-Hotels-Paradise-Ranch-Inn-Stellar-House-Mirror-House-With-Hot-Tub-And-Sauna.h76566735.Hotel-Information) - [The Bunkhouse 1960's Camp Vibe + Timeless Wet Bar](https://www.expedia.com/Camp-Nelson-Hotels-FREE-Early-Check-Inlate-Check-Out-Thebunkhousecabin.h90069915.Hotel-Information) - [Redwood Retreat, Mountains, Adventure and Nature](https://www.expedia.com/Camp-Nelson-Hotels-Redwood-Retreat.h85530284.Hotel-Information) - [Kings Cabin in Wilsonia](https://www.expedia.com/Kings-Canyon-National-Park-Hotels-Kings-Cabin-In-Wilsonia.h89672506.Hotel-Information) - [Redwood Grove Cabin inside Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park](https://www.expedia.com/Kings-Canyon-National-Park-Hotels-Charming-Updated-Cabin-Inside-Kings-Canyon-And-Sequoia-National-Park.h108355206.Hotel-Information) - [Flights to Inyo County](https://www.expedia.com/Destinations-In-Inyo-County.d553248635083903669.Flight-Destinations) - [Inyo County Vacations](https://www.expedia.com/Inyo-County.d553248635083903669.Destination-Travel-Guides) - [Car rentals near Inyo County](https://www.expedia.com/Destinations-In-Inyo-County.d553248635083903669.Car-Rental-Destinations) - [Inyo County Vacation Rentals](https://www.expedia.com/Destinations-In-Inyo-County.d553248635083903669.Vacation-Rental-Destinations) - [Things to do in Inyo County](https://www.expedia.com/Things-To-Do-In-Inyo-County.d553248635083903669.Travel-Guide-Activities)
