9.6/10 Exceptional! (2,172 reviews)
The hotel property is nice. However, we requested a turn down of our room with the front desk and they said it would be done by 3:30pm ,.. it was not done at all and we had to get ready in a dirty room for an evening event. We then requested two towels however they brought 2 toilet paper rolls instead ( huge delay) then we shared our experiences with the front desk and she said that’s “too bad” …. Based on the presumed rating of this hotel I was disappointed with the service

Frequently asked questions

What's included in a Loretto vacation package?
A Loretto vacation package lets you combine round-trip flights, your hotel stay, and a rental car for exploring the area. For a central urban destination like Loretto, many hotels offer convenient access to city attractions. Most hotels in Loretto offer airport shuttle service to and from John Murtha Johnstown - Cambria County Airport (JST), making arrivals and departures easier, and about half of the hotels also include free breakfast, which can be a practical benefit during your stay.

Exactly what's included will vary by hotel and package, so it's worth reviewing the details before you confirm your booking.
How can I save money on a Loretto vacation package?
When you bundle, you can save up to 30%*. To save money on a Loretto package, consider traveling during the quieter months or be flexible with your dates to find more options. Bundling your flights and hotel together often unlocks savings compared to booking separately. *Members only. Savings vary.
Is Loretto better suited for a beach vacation or a cultural trip?
Loretto is primarily a cultural and urban destination, offering a rich history rooted in its founding as an English-speaking Catholic settlement in 1799. Travelers on a Loretto vacation can explore historic sites like the Cambria County Courthouse, the Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark, and the Saint Francis Friary Infirmary, which is about a 10-minute walk from the city center.

Its appeal lies in its historical landmarks, including St. Michael's Church, and its central location for exploring the region's urban attractions. Choosing a package hotel in central Loretto puts you close to these cultural sites.
What are the top things to do in Loretto?
A Loretto vacation offers a mix of historic sites, natural parks, and local attractions:

Do you need to rent a car in Loretto, or is public transport enough?
For a Loretto vacation package, renting a car offers the most flexibility, especially for exploring attractions beyond the immediate town center. While some sites like Saint Francis Friary Infirmary are about a 10-minute walk from central Loretto, others such as Prince Gallitzin State Park and Cambria County Courthouse are about 10 miles away, and Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark is about 17 miles away.

Since Loretto is primarily a city and urban destination with attractions spread out, a car makes it easier to reach all the sights. Travelers arriving at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) will find a rental car useful for their onward journey and for exploring the area during their Loretto vacation.
Can I change or cancel my Loretto vacation package if my plans change?
Yes, you can cancel your vacation package via your itinerary page on Expedia or by contacting customer service. Remember that some packages are fully refundable, but the details vary based on each unique booking. A fully refundable package may depend on how far out from the travel dates you're canceling and what airline you are traveling with.

Yes, members who join our free One Key™ travel rewards program can instantly unlock additional savings and save 10% or more on over 500,000 stays worldwide with Member Prices and over 1 million car rentals.
Does Expedia offer Book Now, Pay Later Loretto vacation packages?

Many bookings allow free cancellation up to a stated deadline (often a few days before travel) where eligible. Read the cancellation terms carefully when reviewing the package, and visit Expedia help center for further details.
Is it cheaper to book a Loretto vacation as a package or separately?
