Clean room, nice location (right near Louisbourgh fortress), quiet, restaurants on site, tasteful beach-inspired decor, spacious room, friendly &helpful staff. Very firm bed. Very small bathroom mirror - hard for shorter people to apply makeup. Our room included dishes, cutlery, microwave, kettle, coffeemaker, bar fridge.

The hotel is located on a point 5 minutes from the Fort of Louisburg. Each room had its own entrance and was beautifully decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which also had entertainment. The waiters looked familiar and had Scottish accents. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was lots of parking and we could see the Fort of Louisburg from our window. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we ever came back.

We so enjoyed meeting the owners Colin and Justin, we are super fans of their tv shows. We had our dinner at the Bothy, the dish was superb. We also had breakfast and was equally delicious. The room was very tastefully decorated and the bed & towels etc were exceptionally clean. #10 at North Star Suites in Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia is not just a hotel it’s an experience. We wanted for nothing.
Thank you so much to all of the staff. The reception, the servers, the chef, the cook, the cleaning staff and everyone else that I might have missed
