Our second stay at peppermint cottage in as many years. Truly a 10 out of 10 experience. They make you feel welcome and go above and beyond. The area continues to add shops, stores, and food making it an even more delightful destination. One of our favorite spots (ever).

Peppermint Cottage

Friends and I stayed here during a bucket list trip to the Kentucky Derby, and the property and host couldn't have been better. Nicole was awesome, and the property was clean and as advertised. I'd highly recommend this property for any trip to Louisville.

Immaculate Home

Peppermint Cottage was just perfect! It was super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need while away from home. Nicole was a super host and close by in case of emergencies. I would highly recommend staying here.

Norton Commons Gem

Peppermint Cottage is a fabulous place to stay. The home is very clean and well stocked and Nicole is easy to communicate with. Norton Commons is a walkable neighborhood but also still conveniently located near the highway if you are traveling elsewhere. We hope to return in the future!

Wow! Nicole was amazing! Her home was so welcoming and the extra touches she put in were beyond special! The neighborhood had great walkable restaurants and shopping. We hired a chef to come in and that was great too!

Weekend Getaway

In town for a simple weekend to see family. This place is in a great location and was very clean. I’ve used Vrbo to book all my travels over the last few years. I like to filter my searches for Premier Hosts to ensure best quality. Nicole was by far the best host we’ve ever stayed through. She went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was perfect.

Beautiful House

The house was perfect for our family to stay at for a convention. We loved being outside of downtown. The neighborhood is so nice and the house was very clean. She had any and everything you could possibly need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable, and she even left snack baskets for us with loads of snacks! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Amazing Home

This is by far the best home we have ever stayed in. The host was phenomenal. The neighborhood was something out of a movie. The design and decor of the home was straight out of a magazine. This host thought of everything. From the Starbucks Keurig cups and snacks, to the toiletries, this host thoughtfully prepared their home for our maximum comfort. If ever in Kentucky again I will definitely stay here again.

Sweet as candy

You are greeted by a sweet hidden row of about 6 adjoining cottages with small, private back yards, and inviting front porches. You are located in a growing family oriented neighborhood near a number of restaurants, shops, and not too far from downtown and the sights of Louisville. The condo is comfortably furnished and bright and inviting. There were 6 of us and we had enough space to be together but to also find seclusion and privacy when needed. The kitchen is well appointed and we were treated to some snacks and coffee left by our host who communicated fully and clearly on the logistics to ensure a great stay and so that we would be welcomed back. And…we do want to be welcomed back. With family in this area, we hope to make Peppermint Cottage a “regular” spot to visit.

Best VRBO stay EVER!

My family and I stayed at the Peppermint Cottage for 1 month during our house renovation. I have stayed at 20+ VRBOs in the past and this place was by far the best. There wasn't a detail missed. The cottage provided so many games to keep my kids busy. The details of added necessary amenities and toiletries like paper towels, tissues, qtips, coffee, creamer and lotions was honestly beyond what is expected in a VRBO The king bed in the master was awesome. My husband and I sleep on a Tempur Pedic at home and this bed made us equally as happy. Nicole was so easy to work with and was always very quick to respond to any questions I had. I cannot wait to stay at this VRBO again! Thank you Nicole for a great month away from home!

Everything you need!

We visited family for Thanksgiving. We decided to rent a VRBO instead of a hotel. Norton Commons is a beautiful community-it’s like Seaside, Florida. We arrived at 11 pm, but the lights were on, fridge filled with waters and 3 charcuterie trays. Coffee, real creamer, tea, oatmeal and all types of snacks were also sitting out. There were toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, etc. also in each bathroom. We have stayed in VRBO’s for years and years, this was over the top. The house was clean and nice. Beds were very comfortable. Great stay! Nicole is very helpful.

Girls Trip

Nicole’s house was perfect for our girls trip. We were traveling from Columbus, Ohio and wanted to stay in a clean house that was walkable to restaurants/shops. Norton commons has a cute downtown with everything you could need. We spent one day exploring the neighborhood and the next day drove 15-20 minutes to downtown Louisville. Nicole is the perfect host! She thinks of every little detail and provides more amenities than any rental I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended!

Love Love Love

This property is amazing! The community of Norton Commons was adorable as well. My daughter has been asking if we can move here! Nicole goes above and beyond from the ease of the check in/check out process to the extra little things around the house (coffee, water, snacks, toiletries). I will be returning the next time we are in Louisville. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Thank you Nicole for making us feel so at home.

Extraordinary Property and Host

I’ve stayed at many short term rental properties over the years and I have to say Peppermint Cottage far exceeds what I’ve experienced in the past. The home itself is just beautiful, a lovely front porch and a private backyard including a fire pit. The furnishings and accessories look as though they’re straight out of a magazine. Nicole was a gracious host. She was communicative throughout the process. The kitchen is fully stocked and she even included an assortment of snacks, coffees and teas. The bedrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The home is spotless, just gorgeous. I cannot wait to go back for another stay! Thank you, Nicole.

Best Wedding Weekend Spot

Found this BEAUTIFUL house and I had to have it. All the decorations, HUGE mirrors and all other amenities checked all of my boxes for myself (bride) and 6 other bridesmaids to get ready for my wedding. Parking was a breeze, snacks were a cute surprise added, even had toiletries and water bottles availabe for us to use if needed, detailed instructions on accessing the property, etc. Nicole helped in every way possible to make my wedding weekend experience one to remember. She went out of her way to communicate, came over when I was unpacking to ask if we needed anything and check in right before we checked out to make sure we didn't have any questions. Overall, this space was amazing and hoping to get back to use it again!
