The bedrooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food for both breakfast and dinner was great. Tea/coffee making facilities were provided as well as bottled water. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom There was an excellent choice on the breakfast menu which was very good. I cannot comment on the standard of the cuisine as we didn't dine there in the evenings, due to having made other arrangements to visit a relative. However, I would have liked to, as the ambience, standard and choice of the cuisine at The Fountain was inviting. I have mobility problems but was able to manage the stairs. However, for safety's sake I would recommend a handrail on the wall by the shower, which would be useful for any level of mobility. The unusually hot weather meant that the bedrooms were very warm. There was no air conditioning but an electric fan was provided which helped a little in circulating the air.
