“Highcliffe House has a magical blend of location (impressive views in a charming ‘seaside’ town close to top restaurants and desirable trail heads), ambience (Victorian charm and elevated decor) and comfort (luxurious linens, heavenly beds, good-sized rooms with lots of extra touches). Add to that Richard and Robert’s warm hospitality and, of course, the scrumptious breakfasts and you have a must-experience destination.

“Happy: helpful staff, great breakfast, Clean and cozy room, comfortable bed, good shower, picturesque window view, 24-hour self service bar, 5 minutes walk to town centre.
Unhappy: room too warm during daytime in summer, and we didn't know that dinner must be booked before 4pm, so missed it.
Overall a great place to stay, would love to go again and try the dinner.”

“Our stay at the Lorna Doone B&B could not have been better! We loved everything about our experience in this beautiful house with fantastically friendly hosts. Great room, a delicious breakfast and wonderful people who made us feel like royalty and family at the same time. Certainly one of the best places that we have ever had the luck to experience.”

“The place itself is unique, very quiet amazing views all around, very clean inside the apartment and the place is very nice, the owners are amazing, kind , lovely people, can’t wait to visit them again, we can highly recommend it to anyone interested visiting this part of the country.

“I originally stayed at this B&B about 20 years ago while walking the coastal path, & decided to return as the village was in an ideal place for our touring holiday. The steep driveway & smallish space made for tricky parking with a large car, but doable. Our room was clean & comfortable, if a little dated in style. The owners were welcoming & helpful.
Breakfast the next morning set us up for the day.
We had a meal in the pub near the beach, & took a stroll around the village.”
