“Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with.”

“Battaramulla is a much underrated destination in Sri Lanka. Near to everything that Colombo has to offer but with its own unique identity and a beautiful lake and wetland reserve area, the town is worth considering as your base when visiting Sri Lanka - and nowhere is more welcoming, comfortable or hospitable than Villa 53. The hosts - Sriyantha and Champie - went way, way beyond the call of duty to make our stay both memorable and productive. Nothing was too much trouble for them or their team……

“We had a late flight arriving into Colombo - so checked in for 1 night only. Room was fairly big but we had issue with the bathroom door which was difficult to slide in and out. Breakfast was a buffet with good options.”
