Red Awni ng worked with me to resolve the issue but it took some time and a few texts to make it work.The on street parking placed me a block and half from the propery. No cost but need proof of renting the space. The GPS sent you down a one way street that does not bring by the front of the property. This was a problem finding the property after dark. "I'll say up front that I should have looked closer at the listing. We were trying to be close to family. So, location sold us on it. Pros: This property is in a good location/quiet street. The unit itself was clean. The double bed was comfortable The communication/check-in/etc. were all ok. Cons: On-street parking is challenging. The property is in an old building and it shows. The unit has been painted, but it still felt very run-down. Common/Entry hallway smelled of tobacco ... "

"I stayed at the Sonesta Select Newark Christiana Mall in November 2025, and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. There was no hot water during my entire stay, and management did not provide any updates or a timeline for when it would be fixed. Why stay at a hotel if you can’t even take a proper shower? They offered to cancel customers' reservations without penalty, but where am I supposed to go last-minute and pay extra? The cleanliness was also unacceptable -- the nightstand was sticky, the bed sheets had brown/black stains, and the bathroom was unkept, with toothpaste marks on the faucet and a tub that wouldn’t drain. These problems are easily fixed. There was an odd aroma throughout the room. Overall, the room felt neglected and poorly maintained. I expected far better from a Sonesta. I would not recommend this property until the management addresses these maintenance and housekeeping issues."
