The hotels definitely lives up to its pictures, walking around the grounds is breathtaking and the layout of reception inviting. Unfortunately the beautiful hotel missed some ambience. Lacking in music. Breakfast we decided to sample did not disappoint our taste buds, an amazing continental buffet style, with an additional option of ordering an array of eggs pancakes etc.. This was of great quality and alot of choice. The downsides to our stay was staff, a couple tainted the rest of the bunch. At night there was a friendly helpful bar person. But during the day not a smile to be seen and a word hardly spoken. Unfortunately we didn't sample the lunch and dinner menu as the rude staff once seated put us off partaking after giving them a second chance and still the same treatment we decided to venture out. Thankfully Elche didn't disappoint!

The house was clean but the pool was dirty and some of the outside furniture were in really bad condition. No nice wine glasses and the towels did smell so bad, that we had to wash them before we could use them. There was no internet for 8 days. We did of course complain about it in the beginning but to my opinion, the caretaker of the property was not doing his job. He didn't speak english and we don't speak spanish so the communication was not easy, and thats not a positive thing

Room spotless the staff was incredibly helpful, even took us down to the golf bar to see if the Rugby was being shown there

it was a clean and nice room, but a bit too cosy for 3 people, as one room had a single bed. if you need all double beds, I recommend booking bigger apartment. Otherwise the area was brilliant, secure parking, beautiful views and nice pool.
