We were only looking for an overnight stay while traveling to and from the Garden Route. We were not expecting a "resort" where people stay for several days to enjoy the beauty of the landscaping, pool and personal service. The landscaping was meticulously cared for. As we went to our car to leave an employee was washing our car! How many places do that?

The staff and Patrick in particular were friendly insightful, and genuinely interested in us having a good stay at their facilities and the balance of the trip. The Location was very convenient. Breakfast was enjoyable. The facilities seemed secure. A very comfortable evening. We would stay here again.

The guesthouse was really beautiful and looked as if it was brand new. We only stayed for one night but we got some great tips on what to do in Swellendam and even for the rest of our trip. The breakfast was also really good! I would definitely recommend to stay here, for the beautiful place and the nice reception by the owner.

Nice hotel to stay, friendly staffs.

Great stay and beautiful property. Like most places in SA theres a water shortage so I couldn't enjoy a night bath but really enjoyed our stay...

The only thing wrong with our stay was that it was too short. Melani is a warm and excellent host. Hope to visit again one day.

Amazing place to stay! Absolutely beautiful location … quiet and safe. Delicious breakfast and a wonderful host! Will definitely be back … highly recommend!

What a wonderful place out in the country! They honor of their way to please guests. Breakfast and dinner are high quality. Rather than the usual breakfast buffet breakfast is high quality served at the table with options.

Excellent stay at La Sosta hotel which is connected to what is one of the most amazing Italian restaurants ever experienced outside Italy. The passion, creativity and attention to details of Salvatore, Nina and their team are exceptional and value their sense of hospitality and kindness. Both the guesthouse and restaurant are a must-see, must do. And by the way, that risotto was amazing!

Nice room and a very pleasant couple of nights - the owner was most helpful in providing advice and guidance of local restaurants and spots to visit. Highly recommended

Great place, everything is just fun and nice. I photos don't do the place justice, you need to visit and experience the place for yourself. What a delight. I would stay again if in the area.

I had a great experience at Montagu Vines. The property and my room were beautiful and the breakfast was a good as any I’ve had at at B&B (made even more enjoyable by the view over the garden and olive grove). Best yet was the personal care provided the owners Pam and “Ant” who are very hands on. I highly recommended Montagu Vines.

It was serendipitous that I booked a stay at Mountain View Swellendam as I was looking for a place to stop about 6 hours west from Port Elizabeth. I saw nice pictures, a good rating, and a reasonable price. But WOW! First, incredible hospitality. We were greeted at the gate, shown our secure parking spot, then given a complete tour of our unit and directions around the grounds. Plus a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner that we followed and enjoyed. Also, a staff member stopped by to...

Great place to stay. I took the early morning guided trail. Very informative.

We loved our two days at Dwyka Lodge. The food was very good with an acceptable variety. The staff were very attentive with a special shout-out to our waiter Julio! While the alcohol at lunch and dinner is not included, the prices were reasonable - NOT resort-like, which is appreciated. We took four safari rides with Marco and he was phenomenal. He's very knowledgeable and does everything possible to ensure an amazing experience is had by all. He was patient in answering questions, and...

This is a really lovely setting, with the rooms facing onto the property's vineyard setting. Everything is very comfortable and clean. The new owner Estelle is a wonderful host, friendly, welcoming, and concerned that our visit was perfect. Her dinner recommendation (22 on Church) was one of the best meals we had in a 9-day trip to the Cape region of South Africa. Breakfast served in an intimate dining area facing out onto the property was perfect. We could not have been more pleased with...

Big beautiful spacious rooms, comfy beds and delicious breakfast.

Great design and attention to detail. Everything was smooth and i felt right at home right away.
