“My room overlooked the mighty Ohio River. I am from Maysville and I used to go to sleep to the sound of the trains going through. Last night one of the longest trains I've ever seen came through and because the tracks are right beside the hotel the whole building rumbled. Loved it. Really nice room, clean as can be, updated with white comforter and good mattress. When I opened the blinds at dawn, there was a huge riverboat pulled up under my window, called the American Melody. It's not a brand……

“Our room was on 2nd floor. Their stairs were well worn, I was leary of the boards breaking, they didnt but the deck boards had a wide gap which didnt help my fear of heights. There were no hangers, no hair dryer, no coffee pot. The towels were horrible and we had to request clean ones each day. We were in a no smoking room but when we can in our rooms smelled of smoke sucked in by the AC I suppose. The beds were hard but it was clean sheets and spread.”

“This place was horrible the customer service was horrible I had reservations and took my payment out already. But they said they didn’t have them and it wasn’t there problem. There pool is out and they advertised it’s working and looks so nice. The facts are it is not and shows a sign saying closed until further notice. And it’s nasty and green and building is in disarray and needs major attention. I would recommend you running from this location and the Seaman OH location as well”

“After checking in we went to our room and instantly had the smell of cigarettes. I went back to the office and they insisted this is a non smoking room. I told them I have allergies to cigarettes in which she responded she does too and wears a mask when cleaning the rooms.. they gave us a different room, it also smelled. I would have gone to a different hotel but there are no other hotels in the area so we had to take the room. Several times there were people standing outside our room talking……

“It was a little difficult to find, but not located on back gravel roads with potholes as many budget hotels. The room was clean and adequate, however there were obvious repairs that needed to be done - the towel rack in the bathroom was hanging by two screws and it was obvious staff were aware of it as the towels were piled on the toilet tank; kind of interesting this simple repair was not done. The other issue I had was when I walked my dogs at 8:00am the next morning my card key would not……
