Weve stayed at Costa de Oro many times over the past 20 years, and the staff is the friendliest youll find. We return year after year because of the warmth of the staff, the comfortable suites with kitchens, and of course the beautiful location.

Great basecamp to explore Mazatlan.
Costa De Oro while just a touch dated everything was wonderful. Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and solid but unspectacular bar and restaurant. This place is a solid and affordable place to enjoy time in Mazatlan.

The staff were all lovely. The rooms themselves were a little dated and worn out but large. It could use a facelift. Pool area was nice, service was good & friendly. Food was way too salty. Beach is almost nonexistent. Booked through Expedia app so all in all great value but not luxury if that’s what you want.

We have been going to Costa De Oro for thirty years. What has always made it special are the service at the pool , the large pool, and the location. Rooms have been updated with flat screen TVs and new beds, which are comfortable. NOTE: The rooms have two DOUBLE beds which may be a deal breaker for some.Miss some of the old timers at the poolside drink/food service - especially G.

Based on the reviews I expected more from the hotel. Check in was vert disorganized. I was under the impression there was only one line and people kept going up the the receptionist out of turn and instead of the lady acknowledging me she would let them go at out turn even though she had seen I had been waiting in line for over 10 minutes. The place looked dirty and the rooms look old. Pool is beautiful however water was very salty, not sure if they use beach water or what chemicals they use, never had that experience before. The location is great and the restaurant has really good food. I do have to say the servers and cleaning staff are very friendly and attentive.
