“A surprisingly well equipped and well conceived property in the south-western region of Uganda. It's very quiet, very well-designed and my wife says it is of European quality - which is a compliment! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was very spacious. The facilities including gym are way better than in most Ugandan properties. It is a little overpriced and the food is unremarkable BUT if I had to stay near Mbarara and I could get the rate down by 30% this would definitely be my preferred……

“Warning - I would like to issue if you wish to book this hotel, which is located at the top of a shopping mall with a nightclub floor below. This means loud music and drunken guests every night 365 days a year until 4am in the morning - making it impossible to fall asleep before the nightclub closes. The hotel has modern rooms. Angela in the hotel reception was professional and services minded. The breakfast could be better, but was ok. If you are a party animal this is the hotel for you. If……

“At check-in, there was no salutation. I was never asked for ID or who I was. They led me straight to my room. This raises serious security concerns. The pipework under the sink was non-existent. So I had to deploy a bucket to collect waste water and avoid spillage in the room. Unlike any other hotels I have stayed in Uganda, there were no bedside tables, no bedside table lamps, no coffee kettle. There was very little natural light in the room. The windows are designed to remain permanently……
