This recently renovated space, currently accommodates 4 people comfortably with kitchenette, smart tv, large deck overlooking the town of McGregor. Entry into finished basement level, main level up 1 flight. Main level includes living room, kitchenette, dining area, laundry, and full bath. Living room has a pull out couch and huge smart TV. Deck off of dining area. Primary bedroom has a private 3/4 bath and king sized bed. The child's cot is located in the primary bedroom's closet. Enjoy morning coffee in the patio area and evenings by the outdoor fire pit.

A weekend in McGregor IA to attend a family funeral. Our hosts were amazing from the time we booked till we left to check in w/us on our accommodations. The property is a beautiful home w/ all new amenities plus dog friendly. We had access to a full backyard for our dog plus able to grill out & sit on a private balcony to enjoy meals & overlook downtown McGregor! We highly recommend this property. Super clean & has everything you need to feel like you are @ home. Thank you to our hosts. A true gem

Hiking around McGregor
We spent three days hiking on both the Iowa and Wisconsin side of the river - it was great. The house was really clean, comfortable, and easy to be in. Thanks!

Awesome Place to Stay in McGregor!
The vrbo House on the Hill was fabulous! All was wonderful and just as pictured and described! The town of McGregor, Iowa was like we had walked into a Hallmark Movie! The town was a picturesque river town! We will return! I recommend this vrbo!

Weekend getaway
We stayed at the House on the Hill instead of getting a hotel room-- totally worth it! It's within walking distance of downtown McGregor and a short drive across the river to Prairie Du Chien. I come down every year for the Great River Road Road Race that takes place at Pikes Peak State Park (bonus, the park is only 3 miles away from the house). The property was clean and inviting. We look forward to coming back down next year!

A great getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much. For the most part it was quiet, with the exception of the occasional train being heard off in the distance. Loved the view from the patio. The house will be great to see once it's finished, the finished parts were great. We would love to come back again sometime. It was a great getaway from Des Moines.

Great location and very clean. The only downfall was that the Hwy was closed so a lot of the local businesses did not have normal hours of operation. But no fault of the property owner.

Cute property in a beautiful town!
We enjoyed our stay here! The property is well-equipped and had everything we needed. We enjoyed that I was located within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Tammy was quick to respond to messages and very accommodating. Definitely recommend!
