I liked the proximity to key historical areas in the city like the Cathedral and Plaza Santa Lucia. There are several traditional restaurants offering excellent food and great prices.

Location is perfect, and the personnel is very nice, however it is dated and needs upgrades/maintenance , also we had issues with keys not working and had to go to reception continuously to reprogram them.

It's nicely located in the town, so you can walk into the center of the town. Parking is free. The room and breakfast is okay.

It was lovely - my room was clean and spacious, with a daily cleaning service; the hotel is very pleasant and attractive, and the reception staff went over and above in their efforts to help. The location was safe and walkable, and for the price it was an absolute bargain. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent. Very close to the city centre, and a few metres away from a lovely bakery and an amazing cantina. The pool is very nice and the rooms are comfortable. Our room had a small terrace, which was a lovely detail.

Lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was good, we could easily walk to restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was nice. As others have said, a fridge in the room would have been good but overall a pleasant stay.

Perfect location; all the places I wanted to go to were walkable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and bathroom facilities all in great working order…hot water, strong flow. The pool was pretty and well maintained. Breakfast was mediocre…literally that’s the only thing I’d change but next year I’ll stay here again.

Excellent hotel! Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Pool was also clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was good with multiple options and great service. Downtown is easily walkable and there is a pizza place around the corner. The block is a bit dark but seems perfectly safe. Overall, a great experience here and I would definitely return!

Nice stay in Merida

One night stand at the hôtel. Parking is easy. Very easy access to the hotel. The rooms are okay with the necessary you need. Beds are comfy, nice TV with many channels, bathroom was very clean. Bedset are a bit old school Breakfast was good with a choice of continental, american or mexican food witvh hot and cold beverages. Swimming pool was okay. The employees were very nice

clean ,quiet Mexican style hotel.good location.nice pool. DO NOT pay extra for the breakfast . The service in the restaurant was terrible and the food mediocre. It has gone way down hill since my last visit when it was a nice little buffet.

We stayed twice at Maria José. The first time we had a room facing the pool area for 3 nights, which was perfectly quiet. The second time we had a room at the hallway, which probably would have been fine if there wouldn't have been a group of guests leaving noisily at 6am. Otherwise, neighborhood is quiet but close to city center Both rooms were nice with lots of room and comfortabel beds.

Overall it is a nice hotel

The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly, however we have terrible WIFI in our room. First we were told it was because of the rain but it didn't improve on very clear and cloudless days.

I would definitely comeback, the only negative comments I have is the bed was a little to firm for me, and the tv didn’t work well. Breakfast was good but not many options, and portions were small but overall a good experience/deal for the price paid. Other the. That I would say excellent service
