"This could be a lovely property & appears to have been recently renovated to a good standard. However it is let down by several maintenance issues (one bedroom & bathroom window not opening or closing properly, bedroom door not closing, broken and ill-fitting toilet seat), and the quality of the mattresses and bedding which was really poor when compared to the most basic Premier Inn/Travelodge. "I stayed 5nights in the cottage recently with my son & husband, it was truly great, the rooms are exactly like in the photos; it is clean and cosy with comfy beds; everything works (heating, good shower pressure, fridge, oven & smart TV). The cottage's central location is perfect for day trips e.g to Brecon Beacon's Pen y Fan, The Four Waterfalls, Caerphilly and Cardiff to name a few. "Lovely little house, great for travelling around the local area. Clean and well equipped with all the items we needed. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and right next to the old ironworks. Double bed very comfortable, single beds not so comfortable and our daughter had to sleep in between two duvets to get comfortable, but was then too warm. "

It has a lovely open plan living space, a well-equipped kitchen, two decent sized bedrooms, upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room. The place is steeped in history and makes for a very interesting place to stay."
