“Delightful stay with kind and attentive staff in an historic building. Only whinge (also mentioned elsewhere) is the automatic light that comes on in the night (as you tiptoe to the bathroom) and wakes your partner”

“Interesting and beautiful hotel set in lovely parkland and gardens. Good food in the brasserie and useful to know that one of the three restaurants is open each day. Plenty of parking and an hour from Calais so an excellent stopover.”

“Kamers waren redelijk schoon, de badkamer en toilet mogen schoner of vervangen. Lekkage kraan. Bij binnenkomst hing er een zure lucht in de kamer, maar die vervloog snel. Personeel achter de balie zeer vriendelijk. Accomodatie is simpel en prima voor een nacht op doorreis.”

The staff are so friendly, the breakfast is lovely, the rooms are small but really clean and the beds are some of the most comfortable we have slept in and if you can see my other reviews we are very very fussy! “We staying in the XXL which came with 2 double beds and 1 double sofa bed. The 2 double beds and sofa bed we're separated by a wall and sliding door. The room was a good size and the bathroom clean. The walk in shower was excellent. The air con was good in the main room (sofa bed) but we found the separate room (2 double beds) was quite warm because of the heatwave. The beds were comfy. There was plenty of parking spaces and the hotel looked great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The on……

“Old building that has been well maintained and kept the original look. We were put in the more modern portion to accommodate 3 of us. Pleasantly surprised with the open air museum and proximity to most WWI sites.”
