Terrible stay. Booked one of the best rooms/views and had to change due to mold smells. Next room was facing another building and their high intensity lights gave us sun burns and hurt our eyes. Wiring in the room as faulty. Lights, air conditioner and wall panels turned on and off. A corner of the room was buzzing and made the hairs on your body stand straight up. Maintenance and staff responded quickly but were not surprised. Sugar was fun but over crowded and the flooring was an accident waiting to happen. Bartender made us two drinks for $80. One was a rum and coke and one was a gin and tonic. He charged us for premium liquor. Since we were treating ourselves we laughed it off and thanked Chris and tipped him on top of the auto grat in hopes of receiving better service in the future. We spent the majority of the night in the room with a rotten egg smell that made us dizzy and loopy. We missed our reservations and left the hotel at daybreak as soon as we were confident that it was the hotel that was making us sick. Once we hit the street outside we were completely fine. I have videos. Felt like a carbon monoxide positioning or something. It was the strangest experience of my life. There were a lot of friendly staff that appeared to want to make the stay enjoyable and they were the only positive part of our night. Thank you for your efforts. Unfortunately our romantic evening was ruined as well as my leap year birthday celebration. We live about an hour away.
