The hotel and room smelled weird (moldy), the elevators were slow/out. Outside of the fact that my room was given away, we still got a room even though it was small for my family of 5 but we made it work. The location was great, right in front of Bayside Marketplace which was perfect for our first time in Miami. Theres a lot to see in the area and pleanty to eat too. The Hotel itself desperately need a renovation, my driver almost past it because it looked run down. It looks dated and needs clean AC flowing not the dusty moldy smell blowing in the room. I'd only go back to this hotel if they updated the whole hotel inside out. For now next time i got to Miami, I'm looking for a different hotel.

My wife and kids woke up with a bunch of bug bites and there was no compensation for it. It’s as if this seems to just happen so the hotel doesn’t have to give anything back just a card with the managers name and email address to complain to them about it instead. To begin with the room was dirty, sinks clogged up every time including the tub.we cannot afford to pay this kind of money for a room and deal with that. I have the pictures to prove it so I hope a manager responds by email to me after reading this

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I paid $247 per night for 2 nights and do not feel it was worth any penny, except for it’s convenience to my sight seeing tour pick up location. The hallways are extremely humid and have mildew. Only 2/3 elevators were working, so it took about 10-15 minutes to catch an elevator, mind you there are 10 floors. Tried to go to the pool, was told it was closed for renovations. Decided to dine at the Marina’s Bar and Grill inside the hotel….let’s just say overpriced for very little food. The food was not that appetizing either. The thermostat in the room was stuck at 78. In order for the temperature to be lowered, I had to lower the thermostat in increments of 2….which still took hours to change. I got the thermostat decreased by 4 degrees in 6 hours. The beds were nicely made and clean. Overall, very short staffed; would not recommend staying here.

Not the warmest welcome from desk staff. But, the bell hop storing baggage was super nice and helpful! The lobby was PACKED with people waiting for rooms, almost all of them cruisers who just got off the ship. It was chaotic. We ended up sitting on the floor for 2 hrs. But, once settled in, the room was nice and area is walkable to restaurants.

This hotel is in need of an upgrade, our room was 79 degrees ! The service is excellent though as maintenance came within minutes and I was compensated for the issue.

Air conditioning in the whole building is terrible! So hot! The rooms do not get cooler than mid 70’s. The property is so old and dated and pictures make it look better than it is. Would absolutely never stay there again.

I was delayed out of Houston due to GlobalIT and called several and was not allowed to cancel or change reservations. So whined up giving room keep to my daughter to use because hotel was unwilling to work with me due to failure beyond my control that was a worldwide issue. I am still in the airport typing this after 12 hours.

First, the bad issues . The property is in poor condition. We were in a group for a cruise with 8 rooms and all of the rooms were hot with a musty, mildew odor. The pool was closed in July with no explanation. The location is not the safest and you must be aware of your surroundings. Now the good issues. The staff was helpful to their limitations, even though they were not able to rectify double-charging a couple in our group. The property is in a decent location to the cruise terminal. Overall, I would not stay here again and do not recommend this property.

We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and have always recommended it. But now the hotel’s condition has gone downhill. Stained and damaged furniture and carpet in the rooms and public areas. The mattress was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. There was a homeless person in our hallway! The person moved before staff saw her and they did diligently search for her so she could be removed. We were also very surprised that there is no longer a pool! We did not check the website and did just assume there was still a pool and had planned to spend the afternoon in it. But seriously - a Miami name brand hotel without a pool! We will never stay at this hotel again and will no longer recommend it. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They are just going the best they can in a run down hotel in a prime location.

Here are my observations and feedback: The property does not have a Holiday Inn sign outside, which is unusual for such a high-end brand. The room air conditioning was not functioning properly. I called for service three times, but no one came to fix it. If the issue couldn't be resolved, the hotel should have either replaced the room or acknowledged the problem with an apology, explaining that it couldn't be fixed during our stay. We had a total of four to five rooms for our extended family, and all of them experienced the same air conditioning issues. It seems the property cannot handle the AC when the outside temperature is in the 90s. The security personnel at the reception were rude. We were celebrating a young couple's anniversary in the reception area and were a bit loud. The security staff's comment, "that's loud," was inappropriate. Overall, the lack of proper signage, unresolved air conditioning problems, and the rude behavior of the security personnel were disappointing.

The room was not ready when we got there had to sit in the lobby and the long couches smelled of mildew. The room itself was hot the ac barely work and I mean barely. I slept with no blankets. No hair dryer in the room . No air conditioning in the elevators. For Miami the ac should be kicking. The best thing was it was by the Bayside shopping and was walkable . Holiday in will be receiving an email from me. A coke on the lobby was $5 . This hotel need to be closed and updated. Im sorry it was good for the one night so Incould get to my cruise but anything longer I would have checked myself out
