"We loved the cottage! The bay was so close that even when you were inside you felt like you were on the beach. The sunsets were AMAZING. The neighbors were very quiet, the beach was private and the cottage was clean- leading to a nice, relaxing trip full of kayaking, fishing, reading on the beach and floating on the bay. Mathews area is our favorite spot due to the close proximity to groceries, restaurants and day trips. "

Kitchen was quaint and perfect for all cooking needs! I would go again! It was a wonderful time! Close to lots of great beaches! "We found this cottage to be exactly as described and pictured. We loved being in the historic district of Yorktown. The cottage is charming and hosts were friendly and responsive through the VRBO chat. "

"Check in couldn't have been easier. The kitchen was well equipped with basic spices, pots and pans, coffee, tea and appliances. Smooth Wi-Fi access. The house was clean, the bedding and towels were clean and my husband with a bad back found the mattresses comfortable.I will say that we ended up buying gallon jugs of water to drink because we found the tap water to be too metallic tasting. But that wasn't a big issue.The beach nearby was lovely for a nice dunk in the Bay. Very family friendly and shallow waters. Small shops and restaurants are nearby and Glouster is a half hour drive if you need a bigger city feel."
