This was our favorite spot! Des and Sue hit the jackpot with their property on the little hill that overlooks the town of Waterford, including part of the Waterford castle. They were incredibly hospitable (even went on a late night ice cream run per my Dad's request--he never intended they go to buy something, just if they already had it; but they...

Great staff, and very comfortable, recently renovated. We have visited the city since 1982, and find the Viking the best hotel as well as great value.
Highly recommended.

Thought we would be staying in an old servants quarters but the accommodations were fantastic. While staying in the castle is nice, the town home style rows of family sized places are great. We had a fire going when we arrived and enjoyed our too brief of a stay. Recommend staking a week or more.

From the moment you pull in the driveway you get a sense of calm. The landscape is absolutely stunning. You are greeted at the door by one of the owners. They show you around then take you upstairs to your room. The decor was very calming and having its own bathroom in your room is a great bonus. Breakfast was made to order and prepared by o e of the owners as well. These 2 men have created a BnB that they should be extremely proud of. If we ever come back to this part of Ireland, we will 100%...

We were in London and Ireland for 10 nights and stayed at a total of 5 locations and this was by far our favorite! It is a beautiful hotel, the beds are extremely comfortable, the staff were so kind, the food was excellent, and the location was very accessible to pubs and the Kilkenny castle. We wished we could stay longer.

Cute place to stay above a lovely pub and on the water. Good value for money. Pros: dog friendly, beach access, beverage tray with sparkling water and tea/instant coffee and a kettle (always nice). Little things that could be improved: there was no full size bath towel, just a hand towel and shower mat, window had been left ajar for fresh air (which is great) but meant that by the time I arrived, there were a ton of knats/midges/little bugs inside and outside the window.

The hotel was a former hunt club and the integrety of the old building has been maintained, but the rooms are modern, clean and well laid out.
The staff were excellent. Very helpful giving directions and chatting.
The food exemplary.
