Amble along this Victorian Pier for its arcade games and café and enjoy the views of the sea and the lighthouse.

Mumbles Pier is a wooden walkway of fun family activities that juts out into the Bristol Channel. It is among the oldest and most famous landmarks in Swansea. Relax on a bench on the pier at sunset to see the changing hues of the sky against the rock formations on this craggy coastline.

Bring the kids to take part in the entertainment. At the arcade marina, young and old can play on the machines and win prizes. Compete with your friends at air hockey. Pinball tables, shooting galleries and simulators are among the features of the arcade hall.

Play a few rounds of bowling in the miniature alleys upstairs with all the family. Use gutter cushions to help beginners and young kids.

Enjoy snacks and refreshments at the Beach Hut Café, which pays tribute to the history of the pier with a Victorian theme. Purchase gifts, souvenirs and beach gear at the Seaweed & Salt shop. Get ice cream and buckets and spades from Beaches & Cream.

Beside the pier is the Big Apple, a famous kiosk shaped like a fruit. Get ice cream and other beach necessities here.

Go fishing on one of the dedicated platforms on the historic pier. Enter one of the regular competitions. Rent equipment from the Basstastic Fishing Supplies shop. Note the RNLI Mumbles Lifeboat Station, which has saved hundreds of lives.

Built in 1898, the pier is 835 feet (255 meters) long and was the western terminus for the world’s first passenger-carrying railway.

The pier is open to the public year-round no matter the weather, with the exception of Christmas Day. The arcade hall opens from morning until evening. Access the walkway and its shops and restaurants for free.

Mumbles Pier stands between Mumbles Lighthouse and the RNLI Mumbles Lifeboat Station on the southeastern part of the headland. It is in the southwestern part of Swansea Bay, just 6 miles (10 kilometers) from the city center of Swansea. Park the car for an hourly fee near Bracelet Bay.
