Parking was easy with plenty of room,booking in was no problem,room was nice and clean .breakfast was very tasty indeed. All staff were very polite and helpful,,

We stayed over at the hotel after doing the wine tasting experience which was also excellent. We stayed in a standard double room which was spotlessly clean, very large room and en suite bathroom. The room had everything we needed and was very nicely decorated. Food in the hotel was superb, we had the Sunday roast and breakfast, staff were friendly and helpful.

The Lanelay hotel was ok, overall I wouldn’t say it was luxury for a number of reasons, we had a suite, however, based on similar visits to other hotels I expected the room to have better amenities, ie no mini fridge , no Nespresso machine ( I see these regularly in high quality hotels, no AC and very little surface space in the room due to a large wardrobe and 25% of the room taken up by a bath . I’d mark the room 4/10 for value and design. Blok restaurant was excellent , service , food selection and quality was very good - well done . The Spa was very disappointing , charging an extra £25 pp with restricted access to use an outside hot plunge pool was exploitive , the spa lacked adequate space to relax with only 8 beds in a hotel with far more guests was poor . Pool itself was good, small sauna and no steam room, it was ok but not at a level I’d class as luxury or high standard of facilities. I’d rate the spa 5/10 , it was very evident their focus was on selling day spas and revenue generation rather than giving hotel guests an experience that reflected the price they charge. Reception service was functional , however , I wouldn’t consider they saw guests as a priority . Breakfast wasn’t value for money, environment was good, gardens were open and service was good, however, ingredients , range and quality wasn’t at a level I have experienced in similar quality hotels , again service 8/10 , food 3/10 , for example no cold meats, granola bought in and list goes on

Good location, decent sized rooms and bar area was nice. Customer service was basic. We were disappointed they wanted to charge £10 for the pool. It was one of the reasons for booking the hotel. It did not say anything about having to pay.

Great location

Terrible experience on arrival no one was at the front desk. Tried ringing the telephone number. I wish only gets used to a Call Center. They were interested stuck around for nearly 2 hours and still no access to the room as Front desk was not banned. Center not interested in helping anyway whatsoever would definitely not go back.
