This hotel is all about location. It has a beautiful spot on the beach. Plenty of tables and longe chairs on the oceanfront patio with decent sized pool for kids. Loved the fire-pit. Hot tub was under repair. However, the hotel did have its downsides. 1. This is the first beach hotel I’ve been to where they do not provide beach towels. For the price of the room, I think providing a beach towel was warranted. 2. The restaurant and bar did not adhere to any posted hours. It opened and closed whenever. One day it closed completely. When it was opened, there was a long wait. Tried eating breakfast there a couple of times but gave up after waiting almost an hour. This is an obvIous lack of staff issue. 3. Signs for vending were on every floor, however, only one ice machine in the hotel and it was on the top floor, That was it. I believe they are renovating, but at least cover up the signs to prevent confusion. 4. Door of our room was very difficult to open/close and made it near impossible to get in and out. Once in, we had to slam it shut. Most likely disturbed our neighbors. Needs repair.

Staff was nice. Room was small. Bathroom was small, no fan and door stuck. Very obvious the staff was overwhelmed . Bartender and complained out loud constantly. Annette and Shanita were excellent. We were there a week,um The pool area was disgusting. Servers in restaurant were untrained and slow due to kitchen. Benjamin tried but clearly overwhelmed. The bartender needs to not talk about herself so much. Calls you Babe or Honey when addressing you. Really. Did not see many sanitation practices only vacuuming. Reception was fake and phoney. Especially Steve. I spent over 2k including tips and it was not worth it. Pot smell everywhere , hallways, especially hallway. You should have stated the place was under repair. Don’t send me the corporate apology because that will be fake and phony too. Very disappointed and I’m not a complainer. Your hotel is in trouble and it does not represent Holiday Inn’s brand well. Just being honest. I’ve had almost 50 years in the industry and your place is bad. Sorry.

The hotel is under renovation so hopefully it will improve soon. Our room was very small and indeed in need of an update (carpet, old doors and bathroom door making a lot of noise), mini refrigerator, can just fit a few water bottles. The bathroom was tiny, no countertop space and not even space for the trash can without having to keep moving it around so it was not on the way. No safe available in the room and no breakfast included. It would be nice if they would offer bicycles for the guests, as the area around is nice. The gym is small but ok. The receptionist didn't give us many details when we checked in, we found out they had some events happening during the week by checking a screen by the elevator. We went by the pool once and the water was dirty, the good thing is that the hotel has access to the beach. We made it to eat at the restaurant once and it was ok, few choices, only one waitress and of the drinks listed on the menu only a few we available. We tried to eat there before and one time the were closed for technical issues, another time they closed early because they were short stuffed.

The stay was very nice. I was going for an oceanfront view, however that was not going to happen. The fact that the "balcony" was not really a balcony. We open the door to the roof which only gave us about 5 inches to look out of. Also, the fact that you have a tool that allows you to text if you have any needs or questions but for over 12 hours all I received back was a text stating "Someone will be with your shortly, for there to never have an associate to get back to me.
