What a gem in the heart of downtown The Dalles! Our room was spacious, quiet, exceptionally clean, a super comfy bed and had a stunning black and white tiled shower. Very cool! Although the hotel was finishing a big remodel, it did not disrupt our stay in any way. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I would rebook here in a heartbeat!

The view and location are great. I've stayed here many times. The last time was 2024 and the place was great, nice and clean, well maintained, and breakfast choices were really nice. Unfortunately, I can't say this was the case this time. The place was run down, trash outside the main doors was almost always overflowing, inside wasn't very clean, and the breakfast was really sad(lack of options and ran out of the little they had). I was very disappointed as this has been a great place to stay in the past. Thankfully we went before the main summer price increase.

The home’s location was ideal—centrally located and close to all the attractions we wanted to visit, and easy to find and access. The views were absolutely stunning, with both ocean and mountain scenery visible from nearly every room. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and we especially enjoyed spending time on the back porch and outdoor dining area. It was the perfect setting for our family to make lasting memories.

It is a old hotel which adds to its appeal. But it ends there. I had a nice room with stove refrigerated microwave and nice . View was of building next door. Check in clerk acted like he was doing us a favor by having a room. Parking is $18 in lot or on street where you have to plug meter at 8:00 in morning. Never would stay here again. Best was breakfast place down street named Bette. Was told by local washing the sidewalk

It was a beautiful stay. Everything was wonderful!
