Negeri Sembilan Vacation Packages
Explore shops and taste local cuisine, tour royal palaces and escape to a scenic resort town in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan. This diverse region on Malaysia’s western coast was once a tribal area split into nine regions, each ruled by a different chief. Uncover the fascinating history and distinctive architecture of this unique destination.
Visit the capital city of Seremban and admire the architecture, such as the horn-shaped roofs of the Minangkabau building. Visit the cultural park Taman Seni Budaya Negeri for a chance to explore these fascinating structures. Seremban is a shopper’s paradise, with several markets and shopping malls, including Seremban Parade. Eat in one of the city’s many restaurants and make sure to try the famous local delicacy, Seremban Siew Pau, a baked pastry with pork or chicken filling.
20 miles (30 kilometers) to the east of Seremban is the royal town of Seri Menanti. Here, you will find the former palace, now the Royal Museum. This is perhaps the finest example of local architecture, and was built over a six-year period without using a single nail. Explore the village and take in a cultural show featuring the fast music and famous candle dance of the local people.
Escape to Port Dickson, a beach town just half-an-hour’s drive from Seremban. Known by the locals as “PD”, it is home to seaside resorts and beautiful beaches were you can enjoy a range of watersports or simply relax on the white sand. Nearby, visit the Tanjung Tuan Lighthouse, which offers superb views across the Malacca Strait.
Reach Negeri Sembilan by flying into Kuala Lumpur International Airport, just 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Seremban. Hiring your own transport is the quickest and easiest way to get around or use the network of buses that runs between the major cities.
Weather on the coast can get a bit wild during the rainy season between November and February, but otherwise Negeri Sembilan has a pleasant, tropical climate.
