"This house offered a lovely view of the lake from the front windows, with parking for 2 cars in the driveway. The upper deck located at the top of a flight of stairs was nice but wished it had an umbrella because it got too hot to sit on it during the day. Across the quiet street from the house you have access to a large dock with a table, chairs, umbrella and kayaks and a paddleboat. Tino was very responsive to our questions but wished a binder of useful information was left in the house, i.e. WiFi, garbage, etc. Linens were good quality and beds were comfortable.The house was clean with a few minor things that should have been fixed before our arrival, broken bedroom door handle, toilet paper dispenser, and not enough forks for a family of six. Once again, minor things but should have been noticed by their cleaning service.About Lake Hopatcong: It is a large lake with many nearby restaurants and activities. We learned after we arrived that you cannot rent a pontoon or motor boat without a license and certification. In order to obtain a certification you must attend an all day course which we did not have the time to do during our vacation to attend. Our family was disappointed because we were unable to explore the lake or fish off a boat. We rented a motor boat with a captain who taught the kids how to kneeboard and wakeboard which was fun but costly."

"Property was clean, and all necessary necessities needed on arrival. Things were labeled making it easy to find and put back into place. Host was attentive and answered all questions in a timely manner. It was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with two teenagers."

"Very clean house with easy check in and check out. Lake view and dock was great! Owner was very easy to communicate and answered questions fast! A few items on the vrbo listing are a bit misleading, which would have been helpful to know before hand. The dock is shared with another house (house guests were very nice and not around that much) and there is no furniture to use on the dock, so bring your own chairs if you would like. It is also 47 steps from house to lake. Also the house did not have as much supplies as it claims on the listing; including salt/pepper/oil, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, beach towels and room darkening shades. So come prepared with these items if you were planning on using the houses."
