"Let me start this off by mentioning that I am a very picky person. I tend to complain about the things that may not bother others like being too close to the elevator or footsteps from rooms above me. We spent two nights at the Hacienda del Rio as part of a week long trip. This stay was far superior to the national chains we also stayed at on this trip. The resort itself offers multiple amenities including a pool, basketball, pickleball, corn hole, sauna, a bar, and many other options. It is situated on a river and appeared to also have tube rentals available. The buildings are two story with units on each floor, some having river views. The interior of the units appear to have been remodeled/restored to perfection providing modern features while maintaining old school character. I cannot say enough about the staff. Communication was stellar. Staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and went over and above to make our stay the best it could be. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely stay at the Hacienda del Rio and commute back and forth to our other destinations. It is just that good. "

"From the greeting we received by the Guest Services Manager, Bryan Soske upon arrival to the check-out when we were leaving after an emotional weekend for my parent's memorial service, our stay was more than expected. Bryan made sure that we had a room on the upper floor after I had requested one at the last minute. The room had just been cleaned, he let us know. The customer service was impeccable, beginning with Bryan, but by all of the staff. We were always greeted by, "Hello Mr. Yaeger or Mrs. Yaeger" like we were celebrities. Even though the hotel is older, it was very clean and smelled very nice everywhere we went. The breakfast buffet was great as well. We loved the egg white omelets! The presentation was appetizing, the food was hot, and it all tasted delicious. Holiday Inn has always had a fairly good reputation for service and cleanliness and we appreciate that. I am sad to say that not all of them are managed as well as others, but Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Braunfels by IHG is managed by and run by highly trained individuals that also care about their jobs and their customers. This is rare today and these people exceeded our expectations. Bryan even offered me a hug and a blessing as we were leaving, knowing I was still emotional after the memorial. I cannot thank you all enough for our enjoyable stay. We will return to this hotel the next time we are in the area. Keep up the good work guys!"

"This was our first stay at LaQuinta in New Braunfels. Typically we stay at the Seguin location, but it was sold out for one of our two nights. We found our KS room to be clean and the bed was soft. I wish they had one more hook in the bathroom to hang wet towels. Also, the first of two mornings, we had no hot water in our shower. We reported it and so did others. We returned to our room in the evening and learned it was fixed. Apparently they had a plumber out the previous day who forgot to turn back on the hot water. We found the staff to be responsive and friendly. Although we got coffee, we didn’t try any of the other breakfast foods. We often stay at LaQuinta as our fur baby travels with us. The pet fee here is very reasonable. "
