While the community bath was an experience, ( It is a guest house after all) The rest was great. The rooms were as advertised, clean and comfortable. If you need an inexpensive place to stay for a few nights in Newark or a place to crash for your red-eye this is an excellent choice.

I did not recognize the house at first because they had no sign but it was easy to get there. It’s a bit pricey for the room because I had to pay an extra for cleaning services so it was very close to a hotel room price. Overall the location is convenient and communication was great.

Booked this stay through hotels.com after our flight was cancelled out of NJ. Other hotels in the area were over $350 and we were in a jam. Based on the hotels.com advertisement, we thought this was a hotel, but it was much more like a hostel. Individual rooms with common dining and shower spaces. When we found the place, the front door was wide open (I think otherwise I would have been hard to tell it wasn’t someone’s home). We weren’t given a key for our room, there were big bugs in the room, and a used condom was in the bedroom trashcan with no liner. When we left in the morning, the front door was wide open again- not sure if it stayed that way all night, but it felt a little unsafe. The staff was good, but we definitely wouldn’t choose to stay here again. I wish the advertisement was more clear on the reality of the room. We want others to know what they are signing up for :(

I like the set up of the room and living room. What I can do without is using the same bathroom with everyone. the bed could have been fixed on the one side but it was comfortable. Would I go back Yes as long as i can have the same room. And would recommend it.

Fix the bathroom door lock on G floor

i like this place. it's like a boarding house in a townhouse in a quiet neighborhood. comfortable and the hosts were great. had a little issue checking in - they weren't immediately available and i was late and needed to get going - but worked out. biggest complaint - door on shared bathroom on my floor didn't fit in doorway and couldn't be locked. as a solo woman - that's a big problem. but in general i liked it. and nice price.
