“We stayed here for five nights on our trip to the Black Hills. Custer is, in my opinion, the best base for exploration. We love the town and it’s easy to get to all the sights. As for the motel, we were overall very satisfied. The staff is friendly, the property is convenient and clean, and it was no-hassle with our pups. The grab and go breakfast was a nice touch. It’s really quite cute outside and there’s a Dollar General next door should you need anything. The only downsides for us were……

“The Comfort Inn room was clean enough as was the property though starting to show signs of age. The price we had to pay for the room was not the price Expedia quoted to us. I was upset initially that Expedia didn't suck up the difference since the reservation was made through them but I am still upset at the property as well. They added on $8 per night on a 2 night stay ($16 total). Part of this is a fee for water. Haha We were unable to get choice rewards points as well. The female staff were……

“Price was good. Avoid an upstairs room if you have a heavy bag since there are no elevators.”

“When my phone died & I couldn’t access the room # or keypad# wth a text,I called the phone number listed but could not get a live person to give me code. I was on hold for at least 15 minutes & I hung up. We went to dinner while my phone charged &then code came through on a text. TV was difficult to operate. Room was small.”
