This hotel is absolutely disgusting. And honestly should probably be shut down. The whole place is falling apart and it was really unpleasant to stay here. What a mistake, never again! The beach around this hotel is also pretty gross. I would avoid this area if I were you. This hotel is priced way too high for what it is. The front desk employee was really kind and nice, but other than that everything about this was subpar.

I have stayed at numerous Shilo Hotels, and this was by far the worst. We paid over $180 for one night. This is not a $180 per night room or stay! There was mold/scum on the shower ceiling, rust stains on the floor around the toilet, the porcelain on the toilet tank lid was broken, the toilet seat needed to be replaced, the chairs in the room were covered in stains, the TV resolution was grainy/poor, the walls of the room were dirty and disgusting, and I would have to say that the worst part of it all… which we didn’t notice until we woke up the next morning… was the huge stain on the sheets that were on the bed our kids slept in!! They can’t even invest in new sheets or an upholstery cleaner?! That’s just the room. And what makes it even more frustrating is the fact that the hotel left a card in the room with the name of the individual who cleaned it, asking us to consider leaving a tip! Elevator buttons were broken. The pool is small and is supposed to be 3 feet to 8 feet however, the 3 foot area of the pool is only where the steps are to get in. But as soon as you step off the bottom step, the bottom of the pool immediately drops. There really is no 3 feet. That pool is a drowning hazard for kids. Their other pool is closed. The towels for the pool are big enough to wrap around a small child however, they are too small for older kids and adults. Their website photos show photos of a restaurant. However, their restaurant has been closed since last year. Disappointing.

Property doesn’t have card locks, homeless in hallway charging his phone, they had a birthday party right below our playing load music until 10:30pm even after calling front desk twice, and front desk said we will send someone, they said party was to be over at 9pm “not “ I feel 170. per night you shouldn’t have to put up with this. I feel like I should get some type of discount for my inconvenience. I’m thinking there won’t be a next time unless I don’t get a discount on this trip.

We were unaware of the terrible condition of this Shilo Inn in Newport , OR. Not much occupancy, shower didn’t work, mattress needed replaced & had not been updated in any way for years.

The best part of the property was the location and the view of the ocean. The rooms are run down and cleaniness was just okay. The carpet was bubbled throughout the room and I tripped over it. There was blood on the bedskirt and wall that we didn't notice until the morning. Overall, not sure we would stay again for the price.

Right on the beach with easy access, great view. The place was filthy and borderline rundown. Stains on everything, 1/2 of the light bulbs out, 1/8" of dust on ceiling fan, mold, rust.

Water front view. Beach access, that’s it! No AC the rooms have very small slots and it was sweltering all night. windows in room so fogged up in panes you pay for ocean front but not able to see out the window. Old building you can hear everything!

The property was worn down. Glass in room even though wrapped not clean and had lip stick on it. Just overall run down. Charging close to 150.00 per night for this was ridiculous.
