Very pretty inn with spacious rooms. Everything was very comfortable but there was not a lot of service in the building. Couldn’t reach anyone from the room as they left a cell phone number that nobody answered. Our room was on the second floor so they provided someone to help with luggage but nobody to help when checking out. In a very pretty area with cafe Flo across the street in a museum. Highly recommend for lunch. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room and either a mini fridge or at least ice on our level. Lots of walking up and down stairs but other than that, the location was close to many restaurants and the Essex dinner train.

We came to celebrate our anniversary, ride the Essex Steam Train for dinner. This was the perfect spot. We were in room 4 on the first floor, I have some physical issues and the first floor with a ramp to the entrance made it so I could actually help bring in our bags. The room was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace was my favorite feature. From the pics you would think the shower was a tub shower, it was actually a big shower that had a 6-8 inch step over. We had very nice views when we were in the room. The chairs in the room were very uncomfortable but we didn’t spend much time in the room. There is no coffee service in the rooms or in the lobby for early morning coffee.thats a bummer but Dunkin is a half mile away. I would place my order on my phone each evening and we ran for it early in the morning. We did fine in the restaurant once for brunch and once in the evening for coffee and dessert. The food was good and so was the service. There is a nice library/lounge that is very welcoming, lots of books, games, comfy seating.

Perfect weekend

Our stay was excellent the staff was amazing very accommodating and friendly we were so relaxed we spent an extra day the building’s ground’s common areas and rooms were immaculate we will definitely be back!!

Great stay at the Old Lyme Inn! The most welcoming and accommodating staff I've ever met! They couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was very nice, although the coffee wasn't great. The grounds are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely love this Inn and will be back again and again. Only small downside for me were the bathroom towels as they are quite rough. But that's a small negative. Staff is wonderful and attentive and the full experience is top notch and classy.

Very nice Inn, kept very clean, nice location. Staff is friendly and helpful but a little less available during the week than on weekends. None of the rooms have a coffeemaker. The standard room is very small with no TV but the more updated rooms will have one. We would stay at this Inn again.

Wonderful room - spacious, on corner with three sets of windows. Very quiet and comfortable. Staff were all so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. A pleasure chatting with them. Great location across the Street from the fantastic Florence Griswald Museum.

The bedding needs updating. We stayed two nights and they did not clean the room or provide clean towels. There is a keurig in the lobby to make coffee and they put out a tray of muffins in the morning that are cut in half. Inn was quiet. Right off I-94. Hangry Goose is a good breakfast place near by.

The Old Lyme Inn is absolutely charming! It’s quaint, cozy, and full of character, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The entire place has such a warm, inviting vibe; I loved the mix of history and comfort throughout. Leslie at the front desk was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and genuinely interactive, which made us feel right at home. The library with board games was such a fun touch, and the live jazz music really set the mood and added to the unique experience. We had breakfast on our last morning, and it was delicious; definitely worth it. Parking was easy and convenient, and the location couldn’t be better, right off I-95. Overall, this inn has a great blend of charm, comfort, and personality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable stay in Connecticut!
