"This was a very nice hotel in Kyoto. I came early, and they let me store my bags while I explored the city and where very nice and helpful with that. It was in walking distance to a former imperial palace, various gardens, etc. The room itself was very nice, good sized by Japanese standards, small(er) by American standards, but not as small as other hotels I stayed at, with a fridge and a working area, as well as some chairs, which a number of hotels I stayed at in Japan did not have. No microwave in the room (there were some in the lobby) but that is not unusual at Japanese hotels either, only one hotel I stayed at over 12 nights had a microwave."

"Lovely Japanese-style hotel with every amenity you could want: free coffee, onsen, laundry, robes, etc… Spacious, clean rooms. Loved the massage I booked! (As a side note: restaurants in the area close very early. We arrived after 7 pm and had no dining options. Apparently there is dining at the hotel restaurant if you book it as a package? We didn’t add it at the time of booking so we were left with dinner options from the mini mart across the street. Word to the wise. )"
