"It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up."

"Property was everything we wanted for a get away. House was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Water was refreshing until the jellyfish decided to pay us a visit. Neighborhood was so quiet. We took morning and evening walks with our dog and she loved it. Saw the occasional deer and rabbit.Kathy was so easy to communicate with. Can't wait to come back!"

"Where do I begin?...This spot is where my daughter & her fiancé wanted to marry. The Rappahannock carries special meaning for them...it's where they began their love story, and where they were engaged. Pop Castle is a warm, beautiful place for an event...only surpassed by the warmth and kindness of it's owners. The home is historic, well-maintained, and so comfortable! No detailsforgotten. Amazing kitchen! Bathrooms immaculate and the most comfy beds! This is truly a place for relaxation and sharing joy with friends & family! It has every amenity for a large gathering...beautiful views and grounds, places to spread out and come together! As Mother of the Bride, I was not as relaxed as I would have liked! But...all the more reason to return with the folks we treasure for another "Rivah" Respite! "This spot was perfect for our gathering of family members from Colorado and Maryland for a few sweet days together. The sunrises and sunsets and water birds hit all the buttons for grandma. The proximity to water with toys and similarly aged kids next door couldn’t have been more perfect. The house was very well equipped, and stocked with perfect items to complete our preparation, or lack thereof. We had solitude from the rest of the world to reconnect and enjoy each other fully in a beautiful spot. "

"The cottage was very homey, pretty and clean. The furnishings and color scheme have the cottage a wam feel. What was a particularly nice touch was the cute doggie towel on the bench by the front door and doggie bags for clean up. The dog towel came in handy since my dear darling rolled on a rotten duck egg. The host was very friendly and accessible if needed. Will definitely stay there again."

"A wonderful week in a wonderful home. Exactly as advertised and had everything we needed. The golf cart was super helpful. The walk to the water is flat and only about a ten minute or less walk. Saw a ton of wildlife including deer, red fox and an otter. And the kitties that roam around are adorable! There were cardinals everywhere! Highly recommend this home! Thank you so much for sharing your large, comfortable, delighted home."
