“Small space for the kids, but worth it for the views and access to location.”

“We were on orcas only for one night Mother’s Day weekend. The space was beautiful and comfortable and clean with great light. Jodi was a lovely host. We especially loved listening to the birds in the morning. The place is an 18 minute drive from town and is quite secluded. There is a lovely view. Anyone staying there should just keep in mind that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette. There is a small refrigerator and microwave and toaster oven and coffee maker, but no stove so you can warm food...

However, unit is located about 150 feet from and overlooking a very busy Railroad Crossing where BNSF and AmTrak cross daily and nightly. BNSF horn blasts are very uncomfortable. The listing failed to mention this unpleasant hazard that starts at 2:15AM and occurs over a dozen times into the late evening. It is unbearable. “We had a perfect vacation. Beautiful, modern, equisitely appointed wfficiency appartment overlooking Deception Pass waterway. Very clean, nicely furnished, with kitchen, dishwasher and laundry. King size bed quite comfy, and waking up to fantastic view through a wall of floor to ceiling windows was incredible.
