We loved Karl Johan on our first visit to Oslo - most efficient check in and out ever, so easily accessible to major sites and restaurants via walking, very easy to get to/from airport via train and subway stop at top of the street. Lovely hotel property in a centrally located, lovely and quiet neighbourhood. Our rooms were excellent - perfectly designed and appointed with great bedding. Front desk staff were knowledgeable and helpful. And the BEST quality buffet breakfast we have ever experienced! Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were okay. Not the warmest welcome at checkin. That definitely could have been a one off though. I would stay here again if in Oslo. The breakfast was amazing!

The hotel had loud music venue across the street playing Techno Blaring music until 2am. Many guests were complaining. Too loud for any hotel guest to sleep. Could not sleep all night and had an early Morning flight ruined my stay in Oslo.
