Decent price in a good location for east Oxford. That’s where the accolades end. From overly annoying/“automated” checkin to lack of comfort, this place has a lot of downside.
Location-wise - 20 minutes from the city centre
Clean spacious room
Lucky we were facing the road so air could come in.
ONLY DRAWBACKS are -
Check-in instructions were a pain - the message said to do it once you are near the location, but this took 20 minutes under the summer heat- so a no-no, the person on the Ring camera tried to help, but the connection was so bad he sounded like a broken droid.
The Internet was bad, too. I had a hard time using anything at all.
Staff friendly, room clean, practical.
Parking ok. Close to central town.

Unfortunately, we spent two sleepless nights at this hotel. Even our 5-year-old child couldn't get any sleep. The small room gets incredibly hot and stuffy in the summer, and the fan provided didn't help at all. Since our windows faced the street, the traffic noise was just awful, making it impossible to sleep. The bedding had a very strong, irritating smell of laundry detergent, and the mattress on one of the beds was ancient and uncomfortable.
On the positive side, the place is clean, the staff is pleasant and friendly, and it’s located close to the city center.

The key pads for access were very awkward to use but overall the room was nice, clean and comfortable.
Great location for anyone wanting to stay close to the city centre. Good facilities in the room including a fridge freezer and microwave. Mattresses could do with be replaced but still enjoyed our stay.
Room was large and clean. Clean linens and soft towels. A fan was already provided since it was very warm in Oxford during our visit. Check in was easy and check out was even easier. Great location for walking to Cowley Rd for meals.

A handy stop
The room was basic but had a microwave and fridge. Great for my needs, a comfortable place to sleep for a night close to the high street
Although the room was small, I was only staying for one night and I was on my own so it didn’t really matter. It was very clean and welcoming and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again. The pillow was a little bit on the lumpy side but that’s my only complaint.
Rasa Sayang house is a short walk from Oxford city centre and most of the colleges. The hotel has many amenities and the self check-in worked, you just can’t show up a minute before check-in time.

We recently stayed at Rasa Sayang and found it to be a good value for the money in a convenient location. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
While the chairs around the table were quite cheap and not very comfortable, the bathroom was adequate and met our needs.
Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay at Rasa Sayang was pleasant. Considering the good location and reasonable price, we would stay here again.
Room was basic but clean and did what was needed. Only comment was on hottest night of the year no aircon or fan so didn’t sleep well but 2 mile walk to where I needed to be so good location for city centre
The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The check-in was a breeze. The shower was a little bit smaller. The location is a little bit out of the way.
Overall, we have a good time staying there. It was a good value. I highly recommend it.
the room was clean and quiet. the keys were easy to get and the room had everything you needed for a 1 night stay in oxford. This obviosuly isn't 5 star luxury but it was comfortable, clean and conveniently placed for all our needs.

Very functional and clean. Pleased there was a fan to available in the searing heat.
Areas that need improving:
I) windows that close fully to keep out the traffic noise
ii) hot water available to shower
iii) BBC One available
iv) Tea bags that haven’t split in the packets
Convenient location, but could do with improvement
Convenient location, if you're happy with a fully self-service check-in and stay.
Room is small, bathroom very small, but both functional enough. Good amenities in the room.
Room was overheated, there was a ceiling fan built into the light, but only worked if the light was on, so no way of having the fan on at night while you sleep.
Shower was weak, bedside light dim and buzzes.
Perfectly acceptable no-contact lodgings for the price, with the benefit of walkability to central Oxford (if you're a good walker). The management was accessible by phone. The procedure for accessing the building and the room (once you are present on the site of the hotel) was clear.
Two small suggestions: (1) stop relying on the app to verify identity, as not everyone has a phone that it works on. (2) if you tell guests the kitchen has coffee making facilities etc., make sure the kitchen really has a French press or filter cone or automatic drip coffeemaker (or SOMETHING).
Otherwise, all good, recommended. Just remember to call the management in advance about identity, and bring your Aeropress if you want to make coffee.
